Plays for Young Performers
In 2005 I founded Just Kiddin’ Theatre because I was concerned there were not enough arts activities available to kids in Ottawa’s rural south. I was particularly troubled that children with special needs had little opportunity to benefit from team-based activities and social development. Thus Just Kiddin’ Theatre became an inclusive not-for-profit, creating a safe environment for children from all walks of life.
My plays emphasize ensemble casts and are purposefully written for 15-17 roles! Roles are flexible in terms of gender and size of cast, with many roles able to be combined if necessary or have actors play multiple roles.
Plays for Community Theatre
Having produced and directed many shows my scripts keep production values high while making them accessible to groups with smaller budgets, facilities, and resources. Each script describes how the play was originally staged so that new groups have a starting reference point.

On occasion I write audience-participation scripts for private functions. For example, for the Heart and Stroke Foundation I wrote a heart-healthy themed murder mystery. Similarly, I wrote “Best in Show” for a dinner party where guests (dog breeders) were unaware they were attending a murder mystery until it happened! These are tremendous fun and I look forward to doing more.
